Hit the ground running

From the opening 'Friends' to the closing 'blow', we just ran almost half the play (don't you know?)

Times aren't bad at all. The lines are coming, the characters are growing and the accents are wandering. After a slow start we really picked up momentum and got through without too many mishaps. The scene changes even worked, after a fashion.

































And Pat made a new friend. Lovely Pat.

It's official, we're now doing The Resistible Rise of the Ghostbusters.

MURDER! EXTORTION! HIGHWAY ROBBERY!

We're officially back in the 'swing'. Rested and relaxed, everyone gave it a right good wollop last night (yes, that is an official dramary type phrase).

PS. Has anyone seen Paul? He was definitely at the rehearsal last night, then we all locked up, and he was going to the loo, and i turned the lights off and locked the door, and.... ah.

Well, Paris was gay. Surprised to see no one else there but me and some statues. I'm sure I put it on the rehearsal schedule. Nevermind. Back to normal stuff from this evening (22nd).

Half Term

A handful of rehearsals down and we're up to the November half-term already. The first 6 scenes are down now; that's just under half the play blocked and ready to go. Today's (Sunday 13th) had plenty of real spark and the play is very much coming alive before our eyes.

Looking forward to resuming on Tuesday 22nd. In the meantime, learn lines, acquire accents and practise being button-factory-Joe.

Sounds like a cryptic crossword clue, I know.

We have a new Inna. The inimitable Mike Gara has agreed to step into the breach, so GM becomes MG.

Meanwhile, back at the studio....

One down

First rehearsal down, many many more to go.

Well done guys. It's already got my spine tingling.

On a sadder note, goodbye to Gavin who sadly has left the cast. He will be missed. Any ideas how to fill those Martin shoes?

At least now it's a GM free production. That should get the hippy crowd in at least.

Yang Yang Yang

All accented out, the cast are ready to assemble on Thursday to begin rehearsals proper.
